(1961) Jean Paul Belmondo, Christine Kaufman. In this fine thriller, JP's friend ends up in prison. JP then tracks down the man responsible. JP ends up in prison himself! Belmondo is one of those cult figures from the '60s who seemed to have a certain youthful star appeal at the time.  Interesting to look back on his work.  Donovan even wrote a song about him.  (remember "Sunny South Kensington?")  Recommended for the sheer nostalgia of the stylish Euro-thrillers of those times.  16mm.
