(1922, Aywon) Jack Hoxie, George Sowards, Lou Meehan, William Lester, Poke Williams, Bert Rollins. Jack and his trail partner drift into town. His buddy is leaving to go back home but needs money for his destitute family. He suggests that they rob the local express office. Jack declines, but a local citizen overhears them and when an actual robbery occurs, they get blamed. The sheriff goes after Jack who escapes on horseback, but his pal is caught and jailed! NOTE: The 16mm print material that our video master was made from was derived from the only known existing material of this ultra-rare Maynard film and is missing reel two. Yet, in spite of this, the film’s continuity isn’t too adversely affected. Music score, 16mm.
