(1961) Irene Papas, Manos Katrackis, Maro Kodou. A pretty lavish spectacle film whose costume budget must have been quite high. Basically a Greek tragedy done on an epic scale with Papas giving a top performance in the title role. A nice booming music score adds to the proceedings. In Greek with English subtitles. 16mm.
