A living, man-devouring radioactive mass is discovered in a subterranean pool near ancient Mayan ruins. Fragments of it are taken back to civilization where they grow into another horrible blob. Mario Bava's moody photography is a standout. A really engaging, mysterious movie that contains some truly scary moments. From a 35mm scope print.
